Port Maria EP
URTR050
Released: 8th December 08
Fresh from the celebrated release of his extended EP ‘Studio Sessions Vol. 1’ and the brilliant ‘Omoplata’, his first release on NRK, Ric McClelland shows that there’s still plenty more left in the locker. In fact, the young Irishman continues to go from strength to strength, and the ‘Port Maria EP’ is an astoundingly deep and impressively mature delivery of perceptively-crafted emotive house music.

Third Floor Tiger is the latest project to be steered by Tudor Moore who co-wrote Afterlife’s first album and their seminal ‘Blue Bar’ (Café Del Mar Vol 3). The ‘Sub Rosa EP’ bears the same Mediterranean tranquillity, but with a chillier, harsher edge, perhaps reflecting Tudor’s relocation to the Northern Atlantic. It’s an EP drenched in soothing serenity and stormy emotion; perfectly deep.

Soundexile return; once again sublimely marrying emotive melody with meticulous techy production. ‘Love & Tears’ was a spellbinding debut release on Urban Torque, and the ‘Sur EP’ does not fail to live-up to high expectations as the follow-up, bearing the same sharp urbane qualities in abundance. Pensive, reflective house music that retains its get-down-to-it groove.

Released: 12th January 2009
We didn’t need to think twice about releasing this gem of gripping atmospheric electronic music. Cork’s Edwin James aka Corrugated Tunnel demonstrates an astute discernment in striking the balance between the melancholic and the uplifting, creating two tracks that dexterously traverse the ridge between the two. Matt Masters and Urbantorque new boy, Stephen Lopkin, throw in a couple of very different interpretations of ‘2nd Thoughts’ making this a very complete and provocative package.

"The UK deep house scene is in fine fettle at the minute with labels likes Freerange and Buzzin' Fly, and Urban Torque's been right up there with them over the last year. Their latest two- tracker courtesy of Yorch (aka Jorge Garcia) pretty much captures what the label's all about..."

URTR048
Released: 10th November 2008
The official release of this bundle of techy energy has been eagerly awaited since it burst onto the dancefloors of Miami last winter. Following the success of the deep, melodic house of ‘Jinzou’, Scotland’s Milton Jackson and Sei A have teamed-up again, this time to more insidious effect. Supported by an enigmatically epic remix from Jim Rivers, ‘Glasgow Kiss’ is an exemplary release from UK underground house producers at the top of their game.
