With such an influential Classical music background, you'd never think that Bram Faber aka Brabe would turn to House music at the age of 16. Not only does he play violin, trumpet, piano and viola, but also masters production skills in his Amsterdam based studio. For his first appearance on Urban Torque, Brabe releases two jaw-dropping records in which singer/songwriter Lavalu, Holland's dazzling Nu Pop sensation, lends her voice to the first recording. Marielle Woltring aka Lavalu is a multitalented artist who played at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2009 alongside Graces Jones and B.B. King after her first EP’s major success: ‘Now’.

"Debut EP BLEW Kyle and I away one day earlier this year. I remember posting this song on the blog and having 2/3rds of Binary call me to tell me how great the song is. Its the perfect example of a song that SOUNDS like a band but is obviously made by a couple of skilled electronic producers."

Following their thrilling success, the Diogenes Club returns for its second release combining Dob and Paul's effortless partnership. Their first EP 'Do You Know How To Feel It?' gained outstanding reviews online through portals such as Pitch Fork, Sound Advice, Pop Stereo and The Hype Machine as well as being played by Pete Tong on Radio 1 and being described as 'the best I've heard in ages' by Andy Warburton (Nu Cool Show, Galaxy). Urban Torque® is very proud to have organized their first remix competition with our long time friend and supporter, Tom Middleton. The legendary Jedi’s first release on Urban Torque is now complimented with an array of new talent chosen by the man himself.  The Hypnotizer remix competition winners are Shinji Pons, Roland Nights and tONKPROJECT. French – Japanese Shinji Pons’ remix is his production debut, while Roland Nights aka Danny Stott makes his second appearance on the label. Romania’s tONKPROJECT aka Laurentiu Zarzu is thriving in this industry with releases on Plastic City, Proton and Elevation.

Danny Stott is a DJ / producer from the UK. He released his first productions in 2008 on several small, reputable labels such as 3am, Dutchie Music and Lost My Dog. He has also remixed artists like Scope and tONKPROJECT. For his first appearance on Urban Torque, after winning Tom Middleton’s ‘Hypnotizer’ remix competition, he releases his first productions under the alias Roland Nights: ‘Bright Light’ EP.
